Breast Reconstruction / Reduction

Breast is a symbol of womanhood. It is important to conserve breast especially in early breast cancer patients. Breast is a gland that plays a important role in her physical and emotional wellbeing. Deviation from normal size and shape is unattractive, so reconstruction at the time of surgery or later should be attempted to improve quality of life.

Various methods that are available :

• External breast prosthesis in various custom made sizes and shapes.
• Silicon gel implants
• Tissue expander implants
• Flaps : Muscle from own body used to reconstruct breast like LD flap, TRAM flap
• Nipple reconstruction.

Similarly sometime we seen that breast has excessively grown, this need surgical intervention to decrease the size, to give body a better look.
